The part-time job Peter had wherein he sings a song "Ding Fries are Done," was based on a song that was popularized by Doctor Demento in the 1990s concerning Burger King, [2] [3] and is a parody of the popular Christmas song "Carol of the Bells".
I think it is significant that "ding fries are done" was googled more than "carol of the bells" in December 2005 (statistics only going back to 2004). Also, the fact that the song has been adapted so many times (including in Family Guy) makes it notable in my eyes.
