The park is within the Pleasant and Prairie townships, southwest of Columbus. It is the largest park in the Metro Parks system, with 7,103 acres (2,874 ha). [1] [2]

The reconstructed mound is located along the Ancient Trail in Battelle Darby Creek Park. In 1797, Georgesville was founded as Central Ohio's first permanent white settlement (the same year as Franklinton).
