Toribio Romo González, known as Saint Toribio Romo (Spanish: santo Toribio Romo, Spanish pronunciation: [ˌsanto toˈɾiβjo ˈromo]; April 16, 1900 – February 25, 1928) was a Mexican Catholic priest and martyr who was killed during the anti-clerical persecutions of the Cristero War.
Their martyrdom is described by Saint Eulogius of Córdoba in 851 in his account of the Cordoban martyrs in the Memoriale Sanctorum, even though they were from Huesca because of their addition to the Roman Martyrology. [1] [3] [4] Eulogius describes in the Sanctorum how religiously mixed families functioned during the early Islamic period. [5]
