It is the largest school district in the state of South Carolina and the 44th largest in the US. As of the 2019–2020 school year, the district, led by Superintendent Dr. W Burke Royster, serves 76,964 students [2] from Greenville; and some parts of Laurens and Spartanburg counties.
A part of Spartanburg County School District 3, it was constructed in 1975 after the consolidation of multiple other high schools in the surrounding area. It has a student population of approximately 900. [5] The principal is Rodney Graves. [6] The school shares the vocational center Daniel Morgan Technology Center with Spartanburg High School. [7]
