Dragon Ball GT: Transformation is a side-scroller beat 'em up video game developed by Webfoot Technologies and published by Atari for the Game Boy Advance in North America. The story takes place during the "Black Star Dragon Balls" and "Baby" story arcs of the anime series Dragon Ball GT .
Goku is pummeled by Cooler, who boasts and mocks him. However, after seeing a bird die from wounds inflicted by their fight, Goku reflects on the well-being of his loved ones. Goku retrieves the deceased bird and transforms into his Super Saiyan form, using his energy to revive it. Cooler finds himself grossly outclassed by Super Saiyan Goku.
Neither Baby nor the others saw any of this happen. Goku meets a strange man named Sugoro, who challenges him to a life-sized board game. If Goku wins the game, he gets to keep his life and return to Earth, but if he loses, he must give up his life. To make matters worse, Goku is stripped of all of his powers, as they are "against the rules".
The game was announced in January 2019 via a trailer during Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals under the working title Dragon Ball Game: Project Z.Described as an action role-playing game, the game was said to be in development by CyberConnect2, known for their work on Asura's Wrath and Naruto Ultimate Ninja series, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam.
