As part of its parent company's bankruptcy, Badcock Home Furniture & More is closing all of its more than 300 stores, including those around Savannah.
The 134-year-old company is closing all of its stores. "We are shocked and overwhelmed," one area dealer posted on Facebook.

The company also blamed its purchase in Badcock as a result of mass losses and struggles. [6] On July 23, 2024, Conn's announced that it would close up to 106 stores across from the Conn's and Badcock brands. 71 Conn's stores and 35 Badcock stores are set to close by the end of summer 2024. [ 7 ]
In December 2023, Conn's acquired Badcock Home Furniture &more from the Franchise Group. [17] Conn's ended up filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2024, and liquidated all of its namesake and Badcock stores by October 2024. [18] [19]
