The English Greyhound Derby is the most prestigious race on the British greyhound racing calendar, with a history stretching back to 1927. It was first held at White City Stadium , but moved to Wimbledon Stadium in 1985, and then Towcester Greyhound Stadium in 2017, Nottingham in 2019 and back to Towcester in 2021.
The 2020 Star Sports and ARC Greyhound Derby took place during October 2020, with the final being held on 31 October 2020 at Nottingham Greyhound Stadium. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] The event was rescheduled following the original May event postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

One of the first targets for Endless Gossip was the 1952 English Greyhound Derby and he caused a sensation during the first round when winning in 28.52 seconds by ten lengths and recording a sectional time of 15.94, the first ever greyhound to break 16 seconds for a split time. He went on to win the Derby which culminated in the final on 28 June.
