The Chadderton Road End on the opposite side of the ground simply had seats bolted onto the terrace, whilst the Main Stand and Broadway Stand had seats added to the lower tiers of the stand. There were plans in the late 1990s for a move to a new 20,000 all seater stadium on adjoining waste ground, but these were scrapped.
Elland Road football stadium was built in 1897 and thirty years later in 1927 two stadiums were constructed on its west side. The first Fullerton Park was built directly next door to the football stadium on the north side of Elland Road and the second Elland Road Greyhound Stadium was constructed opposite Fullerton Park on the south side of Elland Road.

The East Stand houses a family zone (North-East end) and also visiting supporters (South-East Corner). Prior the 2016–17 season, two permanent television studios were installed at the back of the South-East Corner, on either side of the existing giant TV screen. One effect of this was a slight reduction in overall capacity.
The song is played just before kick-off and the start of the second half at every home game at Elland Road and it is a ritual for every Leeds United fan to stand up and sing when it is played. The song has also been used by supporters of other Leeds -based sports teams, such as the Leeds Rhinos rugby league team.
The East Stand and pitch. The East Stand is a two-tier development, completed in 1993. Funded in part by the football trust, the stand has a capacity of 7,492 and replaced a large covered terrace known as the Brewery Stand. The East Stand was designed by NYP Architects, as was the North Stand and the Corner Stand.
