The Chautauqua Area Regional Transit System (CARTS) operates from two terminals in Dunkirk and Jamestown serving almost every city, town, village and hamlet of Chautauqua County, New York with a weekday scheduled public transit service.

Dunkirk is a city in Chautauqua County, New York, United States. It was settled around 1805 and incorporated in 1880. [3] The population was 12,743 as of the 2020 census. [4] Dunkirk is bordered on the north by Lake Erie. It shares a border with the village of Fredonia to the south, and with the town of Dunkirk to the east and west.
Jamestown Community College has two campuses in the county at Jamestown and Dunkirk. The State University of New York at Fredonia is located in the northern part of the county. Jamestown Business College offered two year degrees, certificates, and a four-year degree in Jamestown, prior to its decision to cease new enrollments in 2024.
Studios and offices were located at 15 East Main Street in Fredonia. The station operated at a daytime-only power of 250 watts. Skelly, a native of Austintown, Ohio, sold the station to Dunkirk-Fredonia Broadcasting, Inc., which also owned the Dunkirk-Fredonia Observer newspaper. The transaction was finalized on January 1, 1959.

Fredonia is a village in Chautauqua County, New York, United States. [2] The population was 9,871 as of the 2020 census. [3] Fredonia is in the town of Pomfret south of Lake Erie. The village is the home of the State University of New York at Fredonia (in the northwest part of the village).
