Castiglione received the 2004 Bobby Dodd Award for athletic director of the year. He was named National Athletic Director of the Year in May 2009 by the SportsBusiness Journal . [ 3 ] On February 19, 2018, it was announced he would be inducted into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of fame.
