A jammer is truly your last line of defense after Waze, brake lights and your own eyes and situational awareness. Because of this, you need it to work when it's up to bat as if you've failed at all the other layers of defense, you're gonna get a ticket when a jammer doesn't work. In many cases, a jammer will pay for itself in 1 save. Mine did.

Answer: Yes. ALP will alert that you are being targeted by laser and immediately start jamming. You immediately brake to a legal speed as fast as you safely can, and then kill the jammer. Cop gets a reading at legal speed and thinks he was just a little slow acquiring your speed.
