Alloa Athletic Football Club is a Scottish association football semi-professional club based in the town of Alloa, Clackmannanshire. According to the official club history, they were formed as Clackmannan County in 1878, the football club shortly changing its name to Alloa Association and then to Alloa Athletic in 1883.

Formed as Alloa in 1880, the football club shortly changed its name to Alloa Association, and then to Alloa Athletic in 1881. [1] In 1883 the club was admitted to the Scottish Football Association but had to wait until 1921 before being elected to the Scottish Football League .
Shortly after his release from Stenhousemuir, Robertson signed for recently relegated side Alloa Athletic. [ 24 ] In July 2023, Robertson signed a one-year deal with Alloa until June 2024.

The 2020–21 season will be Alloa Athletic's third consecutive season in the Scottish Championship, following their promotion from Scottish League One in the 2017–18 season. They will also compete in the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup .
