McGee Creek State Park is a state park in southern Oklahoma. The park is on the south side of McGee Creek Reservoir, which impounds the waters of McGee Creek. Created in 1985 the reservoir provides flood control. The park is approximately 2,600 acres (1,100 ha) and the reservoir is approximately 3,800 acres (1,500 ha).
This geographical characteristic means the region has few roads and is sparsely populated. McGee Creek Lake is 17 miles (27 km) east of Atoka; 18 miles (29 km) west of Antlers and 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Farris, Oklahoma [4]. The reservoir, which filled at the completion of the United States Bureau of Reclamation McGee Dam in 1987, consists of 3,810 acres (15.4 km 2) surface area and 64 miles (103 km) of shoreline.
