Poland's Presidency of the Council in 2025 is the first nation in the thirteenth trio of Council Presidencies together with Denmark and Cyprus, which will last until 1 July 2026. It is Poland's second Presidency of the council, after its first in 2011. Poland succeeded Hungary as president on 1 January 2025.
The current trio is made up of Poland (January–June 2025), Denmark (July–December 2025), and Cyprus (January–June 2026). [2] The 2020 German presidency began the second cycle of presidencies, after the system was introduced in 2007.
