The Thousand Days' War (1899–1902) was one of the many armed struggles between the Liberal and Conservative Parties which devastated Colombia, including Panama, during the 19th century. This new civil war ended with the signing of the Treaties of Neerlandia (October 24, 1902) and USS Wisconsin (November 21, 1902).
