We're on the Meraviglia 5/21 and I just automatically assumed we'd be departing out of the Manhattan cruise terminal but later learned we'll be departing out of the Brooklyn terminal. I didn't even know there was a Brooklyn terminal. This'll be our first cruise out of New York.
We will be flying into JFK or LGA the day before a QM2 cruise. Since we are likely to arrive in the late afternoon, we will probably stay at an airport-area hotel. The next day, we will head to Red Hook. What are our options (and costs) to get to Red Hook? In the past, we have stayed in Manhattan...
Quick google search states on the Red Hook website that overnight parking is 30 per day or 210 for the week.

After reading advice on these boards, here is our plan: Arrive in NYC, taxi to the East 34th Street Pier, board the Southview Ferry to Wall Street Pier, transfer to the South Brooklyn route and get off at Red Hook.
72 Bowne was the original 2006 street address of the Red Hook Pier 12 on Buttermilk Channel on the south side of the Atlantic Basin at Pioneer and Imlay Streets. The main gate for Pier 12 is Bowne and Imlay Streets hence you get that address.
