Albinen is situated in the south of Switzerland in the Swiss Alps at 1,275 m (4,183 ft) above sea level. The town is on a sunny, south-facing slope between two creeks. The territory of Albinen reaches from the river "Dala" at 760 m (2,490 ft) above sea level to the Torrenthorn at 2,997 m (9,833 ft) above sea level.

Nachweisbar ist das in den Gemeinden von Leukerbad, Agarn, Guttet und Inden. In Albinen ist noch der Dreiberg hinzugekommen, ansonsten hat das Wappen sich in der urtümlichen Form erhalten. In den Gassen Albinens ist das Kreuz über den Pforten der Spycher zu sehen. Eindrücklich präsentiert es sich aber in der ovalen Kirche der Gemeinde.
