The 225th Brigade Support Battalion is a United States Army unit based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. It is part of the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team , 25th Infantry Division . [ 1 ]
The 11th Engineer Battalion located at Camp Humphreys, Korea, and the 84th Engineer Battalion located at Schofield Barracks. The total force of the brigade is approximately 1,600 personnel. As the brigade is modular in nature, it is able to take command and control of more units when deployed.
The 25th Infantry Division (nicknamed "Tropic Lightning") [1] is a United States Army division based at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. The division, which was activated on 1 October 1941 in Hawaii, conducts military operations primarily in the Asia-Pacific region.
The battalion also received a Meritorious Unit Commendation and two Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citations. By the time the 65th returned home to Schofield Barracks from participating in WWII and the Korean War, they had spent 800 days in direct support of combat operations and 12 years overseas. [2] [5]
The Hawaiian Division was constituted in the Regular Army on 1 February 1921 and activated at Schofield Barracks, Territory of Hawaii, on 1 March 1921.The division was the primary ground force of the Hawaiian Department and was given the mission of defending the Hawaiian Islands from potential invaders.

Upon conclusion of hostilities in Korea, the unit returned to Schofield Barracks. The 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, entered the Vietnam War in January 1966. During their five-year stay in Vietnam, the unit earned two valorous unit citations, and proved to be one of the last 25th Infantry Division units to return home.
