St Joseph's Catholic School is an independent Roman Catholic co-educational primary school, located in the Townsville suburb of Mundingburra, Queensland, Australia. [1] [2] [3] It is administered by the Queensland Catholic Education Commission, with an enrolment of 360 students and a teaching staff of 29, as of 2023. [3]
St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a voluntary aided school in the grounds of the church on Brackley Avenue. The school opened in 1933 [ 3 ] and the current head teacher is Mr J. Wilkinson. [ 4 ]

The school is coeducational as of September 2018. As of September 2018, the lower school (Years 7-9) is based at the old St Joseph's site and the upper school (Years 10-13) is based at the old St Bede's site. The school has a coeducational sixth form, St Benedict's Sixth Form. All sixth form students are currently based at the old St Bede's site.
The school was announced in May 1951, under the name St Joseph's Convent and was to be an all-boys school. [3] The permit was granted in June 1951, [4] and the foundation stone was laid on 16 March 1952. [5] Despite the weather on 16 March, many still attended the laying of the foundation stone. [6]
St Joseph's Catholic High School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in Slough, Berkshire, England. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] Ofsted in their most recent (2022 MAY) report described the school as a good school with outstanding features. [ 1 ]
In 2006 St Joseph's became a joint Anglican-Catholic school. [2] The school has never been exclusively Catholic and has always (at least as far back as 1978) admitted non-Catholic students - mainly Anglicans. The whole school Eucharists alternate between the two traditions. The current headteacher is Mr Christopher Wilkinson.
It was originally established as two sister institutions, St. Mary's Primary School and St. Anne's Primary School, which in 1985 were amalgamated to form St. Joseph's.The school is currently situated at Howe Street, Freetown, in the same compound that used to house its secondary school, now known as St. Joseph's Secondary School and formerly known as St. Joseph's Convent in Freetown.
