The School of Health Professions became an independent academic unit by action of the University of Missouri Board of Curators on Dec. 14, 2000. The Sinclair School of Nursing is a nursing school affiliated with the University of Missouri and University of Missouri Health Care. First established in 1920, the program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. In 2014, CollegeAtlas.org ranked it as the top school of nursing in the nation. [1]
The school moved to the 624 Westport Road location in 2011. The following year, in 2012, the college launched a Master of Science in Nursing and graduate certificate programs in two specializations: adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and nurse education.
