The club was founded in 2015 as a youth team, then known as Lopes Tavares London, before moving into adult football the following season, joining the Premier Division of the Essex Alliance Football League. [1] They played at the Memorial Recreation Ground in West Ham.
The National League was formed in 1979 from leading teams in the Northern Premier League and Southern League and was known originally as the Alliance Premier Football League and from 1986–87 as the Football Conference. The system was introduced in early 2012 and was active for the first time during the 2012–13 season. It is a successor to the Premier Reserve League, Premier Academy League and Football Combination. The Football League Youth Alliance makes up League 2 of the under-18 system. The system covers the under-18 and under-21 groups.
