Large Queen Anne house designed by Waters and built in 1888 for Richard W. Guenther, a Prussian immigrant, Oshkosh druggist, Wisconsin state treasurer, US Congressman, and diplomat. From 1906 to 1913 the large house also hosted the new Lakeside Sanitorium and Training School for Nurses, which later evolved into Mercy Medical Center.
