The town was founded as Kennedy Shores in 1967 by John Caputa, a Chicagoan property developer, and was initially aimed at working-class Polish migrants. Leakey (/ ˈ l eɪ k i / LAY-kee [5]) is a city in and the county seat of Real County, Texas, United States. [6] The population was 315 at the 2020 census. The city is named for John H. Leakey (1824–1900), a pioneer from Tennessee. The Alto Frio Baptist Encampment is located to the southeast of the community.

Orla is a town in Reeves County, Texas, United States. It lies approximately 38 miles (61 km) north of Pecos. Orla is believed to have two residents and has its own post office, located on U.S. Route 285. [1] The post office was established 26 December 1906, with Joshua D. McAdams as first postmaster. [2]
