Subconjunctival bleeding, also known as subconjunctival hemorrhage or subconjunctival haemorrhage, is bleeding from a small blood vessel over the whites of the eye. A subconjunctival hemorrhage appears as a bright red patch on the white of the eye and is commonly referred to as a burst blood vessel.
