In October 2003, Tierrasanta, among other communities in San Diego, was affected by what was known as "Firestorm 2003." This was a conglomeration of the Cedar Fire and numerous other wildfires that converged on Southern California. The residents of Tierrasanta were forced to evacuate. Nearly a dozen homes were lost to the blaze. [6]
The Little League Softball World Series is a softball tournament for girls aged 10 to 12 years old. It was first held in 1974 and is held every August at Stallings Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina, in the United States. Stacey "Nuvey" Nuveman-Deniz (born April 26, 1978) is an American softball coach and former player who is the head coach of the San Diego State Aztecs softball team at San Diego State University (SDSU). [1] She played for the UCLA Bruins at the catcher position on-and-off from 1997 to 2002, winning a national championship in 1999.
