Ref: Karridian.net. This is somewhat consistent with this quote: Gruenwald suggested that Gotham City is located somewhere in the state of New Jersey while Metropolis is located in close vicinity to Washington, D.C. There are several other comics which place Gotham City in New Jersey, with references to proxity to the Jersey Shore and Hudson ...
However, I've also always felt Gotham was more like Chicago, and I heard that Metropolis is actually based on Cleveland, given that the large, flat harbor in Metropolis is unique to Cleveland. Not to mention Keystone City and Central City being twin cities not unlike St. Paul and Minneapolis -- complete with the subtle classism.
3. It seems pretty clear to me that DC's Gotham City is not supposed to represent a real place. It's far too grim to be somewhere that anyone would live, or businesses would open up in. I know Grant Morrison actually tried to make Gotham more realistic, but the current Tom King run solidifies for me that there's no way Gotham is supposed to be ...
30. After Bruce escapes The Pit in The Dark Knight Rises he travels to Gotham City, however The Pit is located in South Africa and Gotham City is located half-way across the world in North America. At this point in the story Bruce is completely broke, and he has no access to any of his remaining resources anyways, so I don't see how he could ...
1. Central city is in Pennsylvania Philly to be exact Two rivers meet there which forms a waterway reminiscent of a bay. Starling city is most likely in Detroit due to the distance of 500mi given in season 1 of the Flash which leads me to surmise the most likely location is Detroit Michigan. Share. Improve this answer.
As far as I know, Gotham has always intended to be a stand-in for New York City. Any time a location for Gotham has been mentioned, it's been close to New York City. This usually means either somewhere else in New York State (e.g. one of the islands), or else somewhere nearby in New Jersey. Metropolis, on the other hand, is a bit of a moving ...
It represents its OWN canon. DC has already stated that Gotham, Arrow/Flash, and Constantine are each their own separate universes. No idea on Supergirl yet. – Omegacron. Nov 3, 2014 at 21:29. 1. related: – phantom42. Nov 3, 2014 at 22:45.
1. In the DCEU in which city is the Star labs located. In the TV series The Flash it is located in the Central City but I want to know that in DCEU where is it located. Your question is inaccurate. There is no place in DC called the Central City. In DC Comicis, movies, and televison, Central City is a place which has been in Ohio, Missouri, and ...
4. The title of the question is flawed. Gotham can't execute criminals because Gotham is a city in the USA. The federal and the state governments have the authority to decree the death penalty for crimes, but counties and municipalities don't. The 14th amendment to the US constitution forbids states from taking life, liberty or property without ...
Much like Gotham and Metropolis are south of New York, located in New Jersey and Delaware, respectively, but located where no large cities are in the real world. National City would be near, but not part of Los Angeles; close enough for Cat Grant to get to Hollywood parties, but far enough that she can be the biggest queen bee in the city ...
