The 'Ocean Drifters' exhibit was opened in 2009, and includes moon jellies, Japanese sea nettles, and upside-down jellyfish, housed in round tanks to prevent injury. The largest tank of the aquarium houses 1,000 Caribbean fish. The tank volume is 2.5 million litres.
This 110-metre (360 ft) acrylic tunnel takes visitors through two tanks which can hold up to 2000 animals. The first tank (or predator tank) is filled mainly with shark species, and holds about 3,800,000 litres (1,004,000 US gal), [12] while the second tank has mainly schooling fish such as blue mao mao.
