Plano Station, Texas Electric Railway, now known as the Interurban Railway Museum, is a historic train station at 901 E 15th Street in Plano, Texas.It is still served by the Downtown Plano station of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail, which reutilized the right of way of the interurban.
The station would be an at-grade structure on the south side of 15th Street with a small parking lot. The station plan was controversial among downtown merchants, as it would require the demolition of an antique mall and would cause traffic congestion. [6] In 1998, the city of Plano approved a different location north of 15th Street.

Plano is Texas's largest city without an interstate highway. Plano opened a new interchange at Parker Rd. and U.S. 75 in December 2010. The single-point interchange is the first of its kind in Texas. The design is intended to reduce severe congestion at this interchange. According to reports, traffic congestion has been reduced by 50-75%.
