Disney's Typhoon Lagoon is a water theme park located at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida near Orlando, and is one of two operating water parks at the resort. It is the second water park to open at the resort, preceded by Disney's River Country which closed in November 2001.

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon remained closed while the four other Walt Disney World theme parks reopened from July 11–15, 2020. [3] [4] Disney's Blizzard Beach reopened at Walt Disney World Resort on March 7, 2021, [5] after being closed for nearly a year.
It opened in 1997 under the name White Water Canyon. On November 20, 2012, Cedar Fair announced it had sold its San Diego Soak City park to SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. The park reopened as Aquatica San Diego on June 1, 2013. [1] In Late-2019, it was announced that the park would be re-themed as Sesame Place San Diego for the 2021 season.
The park features 26 slides. On October 21, 2019, SeaWorld Entertainment announced that Aquatica San Diego would be converted into Sesame Place San Diego, the first Sesame Place theme park on the West Coast.
