Lauren Opal Boebert (/ ˈ b oʊ b ər t / BOH-bərt; née Roberts; born December 19, 1986) is an American politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist [1] serving as the U.S. representative for Colorado's 3rd congressional district from 2021 to 2024, and Colorado's 4th congressional district beginning in 2025.
The district's former representative Scott Tipton lost renomination in 2020 to Lauren Boebert in what was considered a major upset. [4] Boebert won the general election on November 3, 2020, and narrowly won re-election in the closest House race of 2022.
