Cedonia (pronounced sĕh-dōn-ya) is a very small unincorporated community in Stevens County, Washington, United States. [2] Formerly a town, [3] it lies in the valley of the Columbia River, on the western slope of hills known as Summit Mines, [4] at a river section known as Lake Roosevelt, a reservoir created by Grand Coulee Dam.
A post office called Marble was established in 1897, and remained in operation until 1943. [2] The community was named for marble near the original town site. [3]In the early 1990s, Barry and Ann Byrd founded the Marble Fellowship Community Church in the then-ghost town of Marble.
