Sëlva (Ladin: ⓘ; Italian: Selva di Val Gardena [ˈselva di ˌval ɡarˈdeːna,-ɡarˈdɛːna]; German: Wolkenstein in Gröden [ˈvɔlkn̩ʃtaɪn ɪn ˈɡrøːdn̩]) is a comune (municipality) and a village in the Val Gardena in South Tyrol, northern Italy, located about 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of the city of Bolzano.
Val Gardena is home to the Saslong Classic, a men's World Cup downhill race that has been held almost every year since 1969. Since 2002 (and in 1983 ), the downhill has been paired with a Super-G race, and from 1979 to 1982 a combined event was held. [ 15 ]

Gardena Pass (Italian: Passo Gardena; German: Grödnerjoch; Ladin: Ju de Frara or Jëuf de Frea) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites of the South Tyrol in northeast Italy. Cappella di San Maurizio. At an elevation of 2,136 m (7,008 ft) above sea level, the pass connects Sëlva in the Val Gardena on the west side with Corvara in the Val Badia.

The Sella massif lies between the four Ladin valleys of Badia, Gardena, Fascia, and Fodom and is divided between the provinces of South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno in the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige and Veneto.
It connects the Val Gherdëina in South Tyrol and Canazei in the Fascia Valley in Trentino. With Pordoi Pass, Gardena Pass, and Campolongo Pass, this pass forms a quadrangle around the Sella group.
