M-22 is a state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan. It is 116.7 miles (187.8 km) long and follows the Lake Michigan shoreline of the Leelanau Peninsula, making up a portion of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. It also passes through the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
The lake is wholly within Lake Murray State Park, Oklahoma's largest state park, containing over 12,500 acres (51 km 2) of relative wilderness. A state-operated lodge and resort is located on the west shore that serves many visitors to the lake, and serves as a base for numerous cabin and campground facilities near the lake.
How big is Lake Murray? The dam is 1.5 miles long, 375 feet thick, 208 feet high and covers 99 acres. There are four spill gates, each 37.5 feet long by 25 feet wide, according to Lake Murray Country.
Formerly an independent, unincorporated community of some significance to the local area, it was in Walker Township, which incorporated as the City of Walker in the 1960s. It still exists in the names of several businesses and churches, as well as the official name of the business district along Lake Michigan Drive.
