James Hugh Calum Laurie (/ ˈ l ɒr i /; born 11 June 1959) is an English actor, comedian, musician and writer. He first gained recognition for his work as one half of the English comedy double act Fry and Laurie with Stephen Fry .
In 2010, he became the new official voice of Hugh Laurie in House, after the death of his former dubber Sergio Di Stefano. He also gave his voice to animated characters such as Tigger from Winnie the Pooh since 1999, Sebastian St. Clair in BoJack Horseman, Jake from The Rescuers Down Under and the Rat from Fantastic Mr. Fox.
