The Norris, Madison, and Fishing Bridge Museums are three "trailside museums" within Yellowstone National Park in the western United States. Built in 1929 to designs by Herbert Maier, they are preeminent early examples of the National Park Service Rustic style of architecture, and served as models for the construction of park buildings elsewhere in the park system in the 1930s.
The wood-shingled gabled roof has exposed log rafter ends. The store reflects the concession architecture in Yellowstone National Park during the 1920s and 1930s. With the construction of modern restroom facilities the one story log structure is now used as a bookstore operated by the Yellowstone Association. The museum exhibits focus on geothermal geology, features of Norris Geyser and plant and animal life in thermal areas.
