The book contains the level 1+ spells you know. It starts with six level 1 Wizard spells of your choice. TL;DR my wizard was disintegrated in the boss fight and, though it took some time, the Bard figured out to Dispel the Arcane Lock. Just an RP situation in which you'd want to dispel this effect. Additionally, no one states that it has to be an ally that dispels the effect.
Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) Fifth Edition (5e) Spell - Find Familiar - You gain the service of a familiar, a spirit that takes an animal form you choose:...
A wizard should not prepare find familiar since it is a ritual with a casting time of one hour. If a wizard has an hour to cast this spell they probably have the extra ten minutes to cast it as a ritual. Good advice, overall.
A Wizard spell on a Spell Scroll can be copied into a spellbook. When a spell is copied in this way, the copier must succeed on an Intelligence check with a DC equal to 10 plus the spell’s level. On a successful check, the spell is copied.
