The Norwegian Biathlon Association (Norwegian: Norges Skiskytterforbund) (NSSF) was founded 10 December 1983 and is a Norwegian association for biathlon, and is a member of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and the International Biathlon Union.

Egil Gjelland (born 12 November 1973) is a Norwegian former biathlete. He is olympic champion in the biathlon relay from the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Egil Gjelland grew up in Voss, the home of many world class biathletes, and started doing biathlon at the age of 15. He first entered the national team in 1996.

During the 2019 Biathlon World Championships in Östersund, Thingnes Bø won the sprint and three team-event gold medals, adding to his World Cup dominance. He set a record for most individual victories in a single World Cup season, with 16 wins, surpassing Martin Fourcade's record of 14.
Ole Einar Bjørndalen (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈûːɽə ˈæ̂ɪnɑr ˈbjø̂ːɳˌɖɑːɫn̩]; born 27 January 1974) is a retired Norwegian professional biathlete and coach, often referred to by the nickname, the "King of Biathlon".
Due to his illness, he left the national biathlon team ahead of the 2015–16 season and joined a private biathlon team called Team Norgesbakeriet. The team was composed of Vetle Ravnsborg Gurigard, Kristoffer Langøien Skjelvik, Håkon Svaland, Martin Eng, Tore Leren and Sjåstad Christiansen, with Knut Tore Berland as coach.
Sivert Guttorm Bakken (born 18 July 1998) is a Norwegian biathlete.He won the overall mass start title at the 2021–22 Biathlon World Cup. [1] He also won his first world cup race the same year, in the 15 kilometer mass start in Oslo Holmenkollen, on 20 March 2022.
