Pinecraft is a census-designated place located in Sarasota County. The population was 486 at the 2020 census. It is part of the North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The neighborhood is a popular winter vacation spot for many North American Amish and Mennonites, particularly from Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania. [4]
The hotel opened on February 15, 1963, as the sister hotel to the Doral Country Club on the mainland (now in Doral, Florida), where the Doral Open was played until 2006. Eden Roc Miami Beach. The Eden Roc Miami Beach is a resort hotel at 4525 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida. The building contains the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach. It was designed by Morris Lapidus in the Miami Modern style, and was completed in 1955–56. Renovated in 2008, the hotel has 621 guest rooms, including 96 suites. [1]
In September 1957, Miami real estate developer Vaughan Connelly bought the hotel for $2 million ($21.7 million in 2023). [2] He subsequently took out a mortgage on the property from the Teamsters Union , who foreclosed on the mortgage and acquired the property in 1960. [ 3 ]
