Perrysburg is a city located in Wood County, Ohio, United States, along the south side of the Maumee River. The population was 25,041 at the 2020 census. Part of the Toledo metropolitan area, the city is 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Toledo. Perrysburg served as the county seat from 1822 to 1868.
Perrysburg Township is located in northern Wood County, surrounding the crossroads of I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike, ten miles south of the City of Toledo, Ohio. At one time Perrysburg Township was Ohio's largest township, geographically, with 49 square miles; due to annexation the square mileage is now approximately 40.
SR 795 was designated in 1937. It was routed approximately along its current alignment between US 20 in Perrysburg and the former SR 102 (current SR 51) near Millbury. [4] [5] By 1971, the stretch of SR 795 from just west of I-75 to just west of the I-280 interchange was upgraded from two lanes to a four-lane divided expressway.

From Cherry Street in Downtown Toledo, the route turned east onto Summit Street (today’s State Route 65). At the expressway, SR-120 joined I-280, using it to its terminus near Lemoyne. By 1962, SR-120 was removed from Cherry Street and Summit Street and extended east along Central Avenue to its interchange with I-280. [2]
