SEMA show tickets?? Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Clark, May 16, 2007. Joined ...
Just got my plane and show tickets for SEMA this week. I was just curious if anyone else is going to be there. Someone's gotta represent the old schoolers! I figure if we get a small team together we could run around deflating all the sport compacts' tires! *insert evil laugh here*
Bruce ditched the inline flathead and traded it for a Chrysler Hemi. He entered the car in Class E Coupe and Sedan and. proceeded to take first in class with a speed of 157.34 mph against “Big” Bill Edwards with his Cad powered machine. with a speed of 151.00 mph.
I imagine it's headed for the Petersen, to be stuffed and mounted without turning a wheel in anger: it wouldn't meet the current safety rules at SCTA. But if someone decided to take it to El Toro and run it up on the old airfield, please let us know. You could sell tickets. Get a good video on record and have it at the museum in front of the car.
all chassis builders had SEMA tags back in the day, a square tag about 1" x 1" with the chassis builders number in the middle (if my memroy serves me correctly?) see example here is a list of SEMA chassis builders from 1979, I don't know why the 1st 10 are missing?
A thread full of pictures of the famous 1924 T roadster body on Essex rails built in around 1940* and still owned by Mr. Ed Iskenderian, sporting two upper halves of 1933 Pontiac grille and the Maxi “F” converted Flathead with valve covers famously cast by Ed himself and dubbed "La Cucaracha", but maybe best known under the term "Isky T".
from 117 West Jewell Republic, MO 65738. My first "suede" paint job was on a 55 Chevy in the early sixties. On it I used gray primer and tinted it with blue. My current ride is done with John Deere Semi Gloss (not blitz) black that has flattener added.
There is no way you can legally run Ohio license plates on a car registered in Kentucky. KRS 186.043 covers Ky. Historical plates, and specifies that you may display a KENTUCKY license plate, or a reproduction of such, as long as you have the historical plate and registration reciept in the vehicle at all times. Mutt.
Harold Johansen Jr began racing on the dry lakes of Southern California in 1946 and at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1950 (one year after its inception). Considered to have the longest-running career as a vintage land speed driver, he raced through 2008 and into his early 80’s.
The current issue of the SEMA magazine has a great story with photos from the July 1965 CAR CRAFT on the Dragmaster kit car. Turns out that Wally Parks used their frame, a Cobra motor and a Cal Automotive’glass ‘27 T body. I had a Dragmaster kit frame I traded to Bruce Crower. denis4x4, Sep 21, 2024. SHARE POST #3432.
