Liberty Hall is a downtown theater operated by the city of Tyler, Texas, in conjunction with the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. The venue offers live music, comedy and revivals of classic films for the East Texas region. It was refurbished in 2011, and began shows in September, 2011. In 1940 Harkins built the College Theater (later Harkins Valley Art). The last theater opened by Red Harkins was the "Camelview 5" theater in 1973. The school was named Tyler High School from 1880 until 1958; and in 1958 the name was changed to John Tyler High School, named after the 10th President of the United States. [2] In 2020, the Tyler I.
