Compass Rose is a 2014 poetry collection by American poet Arthur Sze. Similar to his previous works, the book features poetry that observe natural, scientific phenomena, as well as history and the passage of time. [1] His tenth collection, it was a finalist for the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Poetry. [2]

The Compass rose was modernized in 1988 and the new design was laid into the floor of Canterbury Cathedral during the Twelfth Lambeth Conference of Anglican bishops. [ 1 ] At the centre of the circular emblem is Saint George's Cross , a reminder of the origins of the Anglican Communion and a link unifying the past to the Communion today.
