A. Ayyappan (27 October 1949 – 21 October 2010) was an Indian Malayalam-language poet in the modernist period. He is considered as the "Icon of anarchism" in Malayalam poetry. He was also an iconoclast figure who had a close friendship with famous Malayalam film director John Abraham.

Rosemary is a Malayalam language poet and translator from Kerala, India. She has received many awards including Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Overall Contributions in 2019. Her autobiography, Nilaavil Oru Panineerchampa was published in 2021.
The first edition of the book was published in 2002 [7] and ninth edition (ISBN 978-9385269585) in 2021 by Olive Books. Death and love were common themes in her poems. [8] Though most of her poems were in Malayalam she also wrote in English. [6] Her life was the subject of the film titled Nanditha released in 2017. [8]
Vayalar Ramavarma (25 March 1928 – 27 October 1975), also known as Vayalar, [1] was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language.He was known for his poems which include Sargasangeetham, Mulankaadu, Padamudrakal, Aayisha and Oru Judas janikkunnu and for around 1,300 songs he penned for 256 Malayalam films.

Mohiyuddin Nadukkandiyil Karassery (born 2 July 1951), commonly known as M. N. Karassery, is an Indian writer and critic of Malayalam language. He is known for his writing and lectures on politics, literature, art and culture, and is a recipient of K.M. Seethi Sahib Memorial Human Fraternity Award and holds the distinguished chair in Malayalam studies at University of Calicut.
