Village Roadshow Pictures is an American film company founded in 1989 that co-finances and co-produces major Hollywood motion pictures. It's a division of Village Roadshow Entertainment Group (VREG), which in turn is majority-owned by Vine Alternative Investments and Falcon Investment Advisors, with the Australian media company Village Roadshow currently holding a 20% minority stake.
Berman was born to a Jewish family [5] in New York in 1952. As a teenager, he developed a passion for photography and contemplated a career as a photographer. He continued to pursue photography throughout high school and into college, where, as a student at Bennington College, he would take frequent road trips to shoot photos of 20th century Americana.

The company has distributed Village Roadshow Pictures titles such as the Matrix Trilogy, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory , Happy Feet , Ah Boys to Men , That Girl in Pinafore , Annie , and The Lego Movie in Singapore, as well as other acquired titles regionally and worldwide.
