Gloria Josephine Mae Swanson [1] (March 27, 1899 – April 4, 1983) was an American actress. She first achieved fame acting in dozens of silent films in the 1920s and was nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Actress, most famously for her 1950 turn in Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard, which also earned her a Golden Globe Award.

Boulevard! A Hollywood Story is a 2021 American documentary film by Jeffrey Schwarz . It is the story of Gloria Swanson 's attempt to adapt a musical version of Billy Wilder 's 1950 film Sunset Boulevard with composers Dickson Hughes and Richard Stapley .
Stroheim is perhaps best known as an actor for his role as Rauffenstein in Jean Renoir's La Grande Illusion (1937) and as Max von Mayerling in Billy Wilder's Sunset Boulevard (1950). For the latter film, which also starred Gloria Swanson, Stroheim was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
