Nocatee / ˈ n ɒ k ə t iː / is an unincorporated planned community and census-designated place (CDP) located primarily in northern St. Johns County, Florida. [1] The population was 22,503 at the 2020 census, [2] up from 4,524 at the 2010 census, [3] an increase of nearly 400%.
As of the 2020 United States census, there were 31,034 people, 8,977 households, and 7,775 families residing in the city. 4,713 households had children under the age of 18. 6.0% of the population were under 5 years old, 31.6% under 18 years old, and 9.1% were 65 years and over. The median age was 35.2 years old. 52.6% of the population were female.
The Dr. Gaston J. Acosta-Rua Center for Caring opened in January, 2007 to serve patients in west Jacksonville, northern Clay and Baker counties. The 16-bed facility is located in a 27,000-square-foot (2,500 m 2) building. The center encourages overnight stays by family, brief visits by family pets and visitors at any time, day or night.
