Also, I just received the chance to purchase a Simplicity 5212.5 Garden Tractor. It's in absolute excellent condition but the seller is asking $800 for it. Question: Is the Simplicity 5212.5 and stronger tractor than my 4212? I might consider upgrading. Thanks.
Messages. 2. Jun 2, 2014 / Simplicity steering problems. #4. Hi Kirk, If the u joint loosens then it will be hard to turn. Make sure you have enough hydraulic oil in the tank also. If there is a prioirity system, then if low, the transmission may get priority. The u joint is easily replaced.
Simplicity has a better deck IMHO. Depending on usage needs as long as you don't abuse it, you will be fine. The wear on the Regent will be similar to the S240 as they are both entry level models. To me it's all about the quality of the cut and Simplicity ranks higher on my list.
