Split/Second: Velocity (released in North America as Split/Second) is a racing video game developed by Black Rock Studio and published by Disney Interactive Studios for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was released in May 2010 and was later released for OnLive in June 2011. [3]
When racing, racers are capable of driving on walls and ceilings of the track, given they have enough speed. Included in the game is a single-player campaign, online multiplayer, and a 4-player split-screen mode (limited to 2-player split-screen on the Nintendo Switch).
The game can be played with up to four players in split screen, and can be taken online for a maximum of 20 players over the internet, or over LAN in the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 versions. In a custom game, options can be set before each match that determine the layout of power-ups, car classes, number of laps, and the car to race.
New racers, pit crew and vehicle parts can be unlocked by winning cups in Slime Scramble, completing challenges, or purchasing them with slime tokens at the in-game garage. Slime Speedway supports both four-player local split-screen multiplayer and online multiplayer for up to 12 players. [1]
Ride 5 received positive reviews on Metacritic. [5] [6] TechRadar called Ride 5 "one of the best-looking PS5 games" but said it is "just not that enjoyable to play".Comparing it to the previous entry, they said the games "look and feel functionally identical" except for the addition of split screen support.
Antz Extreme Racing is set in each of the four temperate seasons and has four different types of races: driving, flying on the backs of insects, running, and snowboarding or surfing. The game features both a single-player and multiplayer mode; the split screen multiplayer mode supports up to four players. [citation needed]
Although there is no internet-based multiplayer, the game does feature LAN-based multiplayer, allowing up to 8 drivers, on the same network, to compete at once, in addition to a 2-player split-screen mode. [6] Sales soared, and the sequel Colin McRae Rally 2.0 was released in December 2000.
