The Trinity League is a high school athletic conference in Southern California, part of the CIF Southern Section. The League is regarded as one of the most competitive high school leagues in the United States. Most famous for football, the Trinity League is extremely competitive in its other sports as well.
In sports where a school has separate boys' and girls' teams, girls are not allowed on boys' teams, and boys are not allowed on girls' teams. (In sports such as baseball that do not have girls' teams, girls are allowed to play; on the other hand, in sports such as softball that do not have boys' teams, in most cases boys are not allowed to play.)
The league dates back to 1901, when it was known as the "Interscholastic League of Southern California." [2] Prior to CIF Southern Section, founding members included Chaffey High School of Ontario (then known as Ontario High School), Redlands High School, [2] Riverside High School [2] (now known as Riverside Poly), Pomana High School [2] and San Bernardino High School.
