The diameter of Sagittarius A* is smaller than the orbit of Mercury. On May 12, 2022, the first image of Sagittarius A* was released by the Event Horizon Telescope Collaboration. The image, which is based on radio interferometer data taken in 2017, confirms that the object contains a black hole. This is the second image of a black hole.
The supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*, imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope [11] Astronomers now have evidence that there is a supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy. [12] Sagittarius A* (abbreviated Sgr A*) is agreed to be the most plausible candidate for the location of this supermassive black hole.
It was observed with the Event Horizon Telescope on 2017 April 5−7, when NRAO 530 was used as a calibrator for the EHT observations of Sagittarius A*. The observations were performed with the full EHT 2017 array of eight telescopes located at six geographical sites. At z = 0.902, this is the most distant object imaged by the EHT so far.
The supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*, imaged by the Event Horizon Telescope. [32] The complex astronomical radio source Sagittarius A appears to be located almost exactly at the Galactic Center and contains an intense compact radio source, Sagittarius A*, which coincides with a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.

As the Schwarzschild radius is linearly related to mass, while the enclosed volume corresponds to the third power of the radius, small black holes are therefore much more dense than large ones. The volume enclosed in the event horizon of the most massive black holes has an average density lower than main sequence stars.
Marking the ninth zodiac sign on the wheel, Sagittarius is a Fire sign that arrives after Scorpio and before Capricorn. It is symbolized by an archer and its season spans Nov. 22 to Dec. 21 in 2025.
In 2024, Sagittarius season officially began on Nov. 21 and will run through Dec. 21. Mesa explains that the sun will enter the Fire sign "at 2:56 p.m. EST, where it will remain until Dec. 21 at 4 ...
